Participants gain knowledge on:- legal grounds and requirements, internal regulatory instructions and documents;
- airside safety and apron safety;
- turnaround coordinator on apron – general concepts;
- aircraft handling operations on the apron;
- resource provision of ground handling;
- time schedule of activities for coordination of aircraft handling after landing and subsequent take-off;
- aircraft types, weights, design and operational tolerances and limitations;
- pre-flight preparation, check and preparation of the aircraft stand;
- aircraft handling;
- load control, communications and messages;
- coordination in the management, supervision and execution of ground operations, communication with suppliers, operators, administration and services, teamwork, awareness of organizational affiliation and corporate culture;
- ground handling contracts and responsibility for quality assurance and control;
- administration and accountability;
- emergency situations and emergency action plan;
- occupational health and safety requirements, risks and precautions, personal protective equipment.
