Why Us?

The Aviation Training Center was established on 15.06.2004 by order of Sofia Airport Executive Director and to date is permanent training center for SOF Connect AD employees and external clients.

On 19.04.2021, with Certificate No. 22 SOF Connect AD Aviation Training Centre was re-licensed by the CAA and continues to conduct trainings for both employees and external organizations and companies.

In November 2024, SOF Connect AD Aviation Training Centre has been officially accredited by Airports Council International (ACI) and given the ability to organize and deliver tailor-made courses reflecting best practice in airport operations and management.

The training center is located in its own building, in beautiful park and possesses:
– 5 classrooms equipped with top-of-the-range specialized equipment including multi-media projectors, computers, interactive and magnetic whiteboards, flip charts and more;
– A training room with Smiths Heimann X-ray equipment, manual search table, storage containers.
– Computer based security trainings etc.

The instructors of the Aviation Training Centre are certified and/or approved by the CAA, maintain a high level of qualification in accordance with company needs and national, European and international standards. They have undergone instructor training courses in international and national aviation training centers – ICAO, IATA, ACI, etc.
